★ A TALE OF TACOS ★

The term "taco" originated in the 1800s and referred to the explosive powder charges used in Mexican silver mines. Miners would wrap gunpowder in silver paper to create explosives used for excavating. Their nickname for the chargers caught on. Then, since tortillas wrapped around potatoes or other simple stuffing's with hot sauces resembled the handmade explosives, the miners started calling their lunches tacos as well. As history has it, the first type of taco was called "taco De miners," which translates to mean miner's tacos.
